...Cleaver that is... and I'm okay with that! With all of her glorious motherly ways.
I want to be the mom who bakes, sews and knits.
The only issue is... I don't really do any of those things well, so here's me sharing with you all my 101's.
Laugh with me or at me, I don't care. I just hope I can evolve during this process!

Third Times a Charm

I hope I'm on my way this time.

After two cast ons and one small frog of a row last night I have been able to move on to working the upper body of the tank.

It helps when you use the needle sizes in proper order according to the pattern.
My second error.
My first?
I can't even remember anymore.

But now I've gotten far enough into it to feel some progress is happening.

Last night my mum helped me via Skype. I was totally lost at the racerback separation. Thank goodness she got me straightened out. I was going banarnars!

Its hard to put the knitting down at night and go to bed. Once I get into it I just want to plow through!

  1. I think you are doing an AWESOME job, Cindy! You are such an adventurous knitter!...and I'm the same way. I put off going to bed (there's always something good on tv) and then I'm dragging around the next day. (But we could quit any time, right? Yeah...we could quit any time...)

  3. Looking good! I totally understand. When I start I really want to finish something in the one sitting which is not possible most of the time. In my head I am telling myself "just one more row then I'll go to bed".

    1. But the other issue of knitting way past bedtime is that's when mistakes can happen, yet I do so willingly!

  4. I am so excited to see what this looks like as a longer version! Be sure to model the heck out of it when you're finished!!

And I feel you on the bedtime dilema... can't... put... it... down...

    1. Yes, I'll have to go 'off' pattern so I hope I can make it work. You'll see photos for sure.
Thanks for coming over to my blog as well!

    1. Thanks for the support.
      :)
Now I just need to find a bra to work with that racer back too!

  7. I love the color too! Personally I think the harder you struggle with the cast-on the better the finished product. I once made a hat that I had to cast on like 7 times, totally worth it because it turned out Ah.maz.ing. I'm sure that's what will happen for you and this top :)

  8. I love your reasoning on more cast-ons = more amazing project. And I actually have to agree now that I think on it. I made Big Bad Baby blanket at the beginning of my knitting journey last year and I had to frog that sucker so many times I can't even remember.
Thank you so much for your support!
