...Cleaver that is... and I'm okay with that! With all of her glorious motherly ways.
I want to be the mom who bakes, sews and knits.
The only issue is... I don't really do any of those things well, so here's me sharing with you all my 101's.
Laugh with me or at me, I don't care. I just hope I can evolve during this process!

GAP-tastic Cowl

Do you know Hey! Jen Renee?

She's another soul who loves to knit. And she's so stylin'!

She posted about her redesign about a cowl she'd seen at the GAP and I bookmarked it knowing exactly who I'd make it for. I've got a good friend who moved to the UK last year and between the weather over there and her style I knew this was for her. With a Birthday in April I knew I'd be pushing the use of it in this current year but I did it anyway.

GAP-tastic Cowl

I did make an error though. I somehow used super bulky instead of bulky. I blame the wording on the yarn package. *wink* So its a lot longer than what is intended but it still works.

It finally arrived to her today. I was scared a postal servant had decided to make it theirs I tell ya!

It was easy to knit up and has a great look to it! Even when its way bigger than it should be.

Look at the length on this sucker!

  2. WOW, super job – it looks fantastic! And no worries – I've knit this cowl several times with Wool Ease Thick and Quick, and it still turns out great. (If you use bulky/chunky, it just ends up being a little thinner/drapier, but still pretty huge.) Awesome job and glad it worked out for you! :)
